Research Platform

CoLab Research is a subscriber-based platform that provides provide organizations with custom-built data collection tools and real-time reporting and analysis. 

Terms of Use

Research Associate Agreement for CoLab Research

It is CoLab-Online’s responsibility to:

• Manage, share and curate stored data according to the Data Owner
  Provide a service level of 99.9% uptime and data availability;
• Store and transmit data in an Alberta Government approved, 100% Canadian based data-centre;
• Provide data access with written permission from the Data Owner; and
• Delete and/or change associate account passwords* with written permission from the Data Owner

* Research Associates are able to change passwords at their own discretion, however if there is suspicion of a data breach it should be reported to an assigned designate who will request either a new password and/or new account depending on the nature of the breach.

CoLab-Online is not responsible for:

• Data security once data has been downloaded from the CoLab Research Platform
• Instructing users on data security protocols on their end.

Research Associates are responsible for:

• Ensuring proper data storage protocols are in place for downloaded data;
• Informing a designate (eg. FRN lead member) if a researcher account data breach is suspected.
